"Bears" by Julita Wojcik from Poland

An exhibition to commemorate the start of the Dutch chairmanship of the European Union, when it had just added ten extra member countries. The ninety works of art give an amazing overview of contemporary art of those, mostly former Iron Curtain countries. The works were selected by an appointed commitee of an art critic, a museum director, the director of the national art school and a gallery owner. Within three months of selection, the exhibition design was made, the catalogues printed and the art imported to be shown in the largest and oldest church of The Hague: De Grote Kerk.

Art Ants had the responsibility of the art works, the opening and the overall coordination of the project.
